Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Puilo ("Puilo", "we", "us") for using the Puilo iPhone app and puilo.com (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Puilo.

1. Who can use Puilo

You must be at least 13 years old to use Puilo. If you're under the age of majority where you live, you may only use Puilo with the permission of a parent or guardian, who agrees to these terms for you.

2. What Puilo does

Puilo uses artificial intelligence to break down makeup looks into step-by-step tutorials, suggest shades and products, and give cosmetic feedback. AI can make mistakes. Results are suggestions based on the photos and information you provide, and may be incomplete or inaccurate, especially with low-quality photos or unusual lighting.

3. Not medical advice

Puilo gives cosmetic suggestions only. It doesn't diagnose, treat or assess any skin, health or medical condition, and nothing in Puilo is medical or dermatological advice. Always patch-test new products, follow the manufacturer's instructions, and talk to a doctor or dermatologist about any skin concern, allergy or reaction.

4. Your photos and content

You keep all rights to the photos you add to Puilo. You give us permission to process them only to provide the Service to you, as described in our Privacy Policy. We don't use your photos to train AI models.

You're responsible for the photos you add. Only use photos you have the right to use. If you add a photo that shows another person (for example, a selfie of a friend), make sure you have their permission. Looks you share from social media belong to their creators; Puilo helps you learn a look for your own personal use.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• upload sexual, violent, hateful or illegal content, or photos of children;
• use Puilo to harass, judge or rate other people;
• try to access other users' data, bypass usage limits or subscriptions, or interfere with the Service;
• copy, reverse-engineer, scrape or resell the Service or its results, except as the law allows;
• use Puilo in any way that breaks the law.

We may limit or stop your access if you break these terms or misuse the Service.

6. Puilo Pro subscriptions

• Puilo Pro is an auto-renewing subscription that unlocks unlimited use of Puilo's features, subject to fair-use limits that protect the Service. Plans are weekly, monthly or yearly. The price and length of each plan are shown in the app before you buy.
• Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm your purchase.
• Your subscription renews automatically at the same price and length unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your iPhone's Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for.
• If we ever change a plan's price, Apple will notify you in advance as its rules require, and you can cancel before the new price applies.
• Purchases are handled by Apple. Refund requests are handled by Apple under its policies at reportaproblem.apple.com.
• Deleting the app or your Puilo data doesn't cancel your subscription. To restore Pro on a new device, use Restore Purchases in the app.

7. Product suggestions and other websites

Product suggestions are chosen by Puilo's AI and are not sponsored. Puilo doesn't sell products. Links and product photos come from third-party shops, brands and search results. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content, availability, prices, products or privacy practices. Check ingredients and product details before you buy.

8. Our rights

The Puilo app, website, name, logo, designs, illustrations and software belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as allowed by these terms and the App Store's usage rules. You may use the tutorials and results Puilo creates for you for your own personal, non-commercial purposes.

9. Changes and availability

We're always improving Puilo, so features may change, and we may suspend or stop parts of the Service. If we stop Puilo Pro entirely, we'll stop renewals. We may update these terms; we'll change the date above and, for important changes, take reasonable steps to tell you. If you keep using Puilo after changes take effect, you accept the new terms.

10. Ending your use

You can stop using Puilo at any time. To delete your data, use Profile → Delete all my data in the app. Sections of these terms that by their nature should survive (such as sections 3, 8, 11 and 12) continue to apply.

11. Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or that results will be accurate or suit you, and we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for reactions to cosmetic products you choose to use. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for Puilo in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer laws that can't be excluded, or our liability where it can't legally be limited.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the place where Puilo's operator is based. This doesn't take away any mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in your local courts where the law allows. If you have a problem, please email us first at support@puilo.com so we can try to fix it.

13. Apple

These terms are between you and Puilo, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for the app or its content and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app. Apple isn't responsible for any claims relating to the app, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to meet any legal or regulatory requirement, consumer protection or privacy claims, or claims that the app infringes someone else's intellectual property. We, not Apple, are responsible for investigating and handling any such claims. You confirm that you aren't located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you aren't on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
